allowed as long as it hasn't been soaked/infused with sugar or breaded with high carb stuff (wheat/corn flour). Fortunately I like most of my meat to be grilled/smoked and that works nicely with a low carb diet.

From Jersey. He finally was able to eat grits when he started putting grape jelly in them which is a bigger blasphemy than not eating them at all IMO.
I like all 3 but it is hard to beat a good cheesy bowl of grits with sausage crumbed in it and a runny fried egg stirred in on top.
Very few people south of the M/D have had oatmeal or cream of wheat that have been properly cooked which probably explains the hate.
