I can't help but wonder the emotions for him last night. He spent all season dreaming of this moment, and his team ends up winning the NC just as he hoped, but he plays poorly, gets benched, and not only does his replacement lead the team to a comeback win, but his replacement has most surely won the job going forward as well. In his position, are you happy because your team won the NC? Are you sad as everyone around you celebrates? Of course, many of us would say we'd just be happy because it's team first, but he's also human.

asked for a position change after the season because he knew that he wasn’t going to play QB in the NFL where he hopes to continue his career. Granted, he didn’t want to lose his starting job last night, but that was going to be inevitable.

I can tell you right now as a former athlete and competitor that he is not happy, no matter what he says. There’s nothing worse than feeling like you let your team down and knowing that after all the hard work you put in your starting job is getting taken from you. He showed a lot of class acting the way he did because I know he was dying inside.

Spot on! I hate Bama but I felt bad for him. He wore a smile & I applaud him but that had to be torturous.

Never ate liver mush growing up in Charlotte but my wife is from western Nc foothills and they love it. It’s funny how there are ‘pockets’ around the south that eat it. Kind of like Sundrop!

maple syrup on freshly-fried Neese's Liver Pudding!!!! Learned that 60+ years ago when Mom did pancakes and livermush for breakfast for us.
Almost as good as a Cherry-Lemon Sundrop from Black's BBQ in Gastonia.
