Anyone see what he is saying on Twitter tonight? He says he hasn’t been contacted by anyone at Clemson about Matayo!

Shocking… after he publishes an article saying Matayo will go to the highest bidder and now Clemson isn’t involved.
Color me shocked when USC, UGA, TAMU, and BAMA are randomly selected as the favorites.

level teams in college football. It's going to be tough to compete with the big cities and the level of money they will promise. We all want to hope for kids coming to Clemson for the love of the game but life changing money is hard to pass up. It is what it is.

college football, unless it was evenly regulated. But we were all shouted down. Well, here you go, this is where we are now. If you get didn't get the message with the recruitment of Korey Foreman in the class of 2021, then you weren't paying attention. He was the #1 player in the nation, a DL from Calif that was a dead solid lock and verbal to CU. Then this happened: Sou Cal put together a "presentation" that showcased what his value would be... in Southern California. Hollywood, my man, the big time... maybe you'll get to meet LeBron and be in his next movie...
"Foreman, who made it clear throughout the recruiting process that the potential to build his brand would be a deciding factor wherever he landed. In December, USC put together a presentation over Zoom on name, image and likeness to help illustrate the value of its in-house creative lab and the opportunities that would be available to Foreman at USC. The presentation made an impression on Foreman, who called it insane. "It was like I’m the King of Hollywood,” Foreman said. “It’s everything that people talk about wanting to have. I couldn’t be the only one that was drooling when they talked about the numbers.”
So here you go, this is where we are now. I hope y'all are happy with the result.

So Clemson wouldn’t (couldn’t?) compete for this recruit.

Why should he settle for less than what he wants just for your sports viewing pleasure?
Stop pretending that you want some kind of level playing field when it comes to programs luring kids with money. Some schools already can’t compete in terms of paying for lavish facilities. Some schools don’t have the money to pay coaches in the millions while those coaches bemoan the influence of money in sports and use words like “entitled” when they obviously have no clue what that word means.
The only thing “amateur” in “amateur college sports” was the players. Times have changed. If for some reason you enjoy the games more if the players are poorer, then your time has passed.
Focus on softball or something.

Matayo will be in Clemson this weekend to both see his brother and a recruiting trip. Both parents will be here but word is only his mother will be accompanying him on the recruiting part of the trip.
With that said it sounds like our coaches are dealing with the mom and not the dad.

we know that Matayo would be seeking a major/degree outside of Clemson's scope. & he said that Matayo is also seeking NIL $ (which at this point, might as well mean for sale to highest bidder). Perhaps Big Dave might want to consider w/ those things in mind, that his youngest son is probably not a fit for what our coaching staff is looking for, especially when we got burned by the December decommits who used BV's departure as an excuse to cover for NIL pursuits.

Say what ya want about DJs play, his weight or his game, but fact is he blocked his Dad on Twitter years ago. The constant self agrandizing gets WAY old at times with the "Big Dave's Blueprint" I'm good without having that for another 4+ years. Besides, most have believed he wasn't coming here for over a year.

I can't stand his tweets anymore either. I think DJ is out of his circle enough now where he is not influenced by it but I feel bad for Matayo. I can't trust people like him. I am sure Matayo is a good kid but we shouldn't recruit him just because Big Dave needs a little spotlight.

Probably because Dabo knows the momma is the key to his recruitment just like with DJ. Dave seems pissed, I’m sure that’s it, the man likes to be involved and he’s not… it’s like with that article a few months back that talked about DJs faith and his moms influence, Dave got all riled up because he got no “credit” or mention in the article or contacted.

Interesting how Big Dave was the "darling" of TNet when he was tweeting during DJs recruiting, when DJ's freshman year was going good subbing for TL16, and anticipation of DJ's sophomore take over of the Tiger's offense. And after DJ's sophomore fiasco, not so loving tweets and TNet posts about his performance, what do you expect?

We all liked him back when DJ committed and I loved how he would come onto campus, talk to people, give a shout out to local businesses. DJ’s play last year has nothing to do with it. Says a lot about Big Dave when his own son has blocked him on social media. This family has been through a lot in the past year, but the man is constantly making it all about him. The fact that he’s calling out Clemson coaches the week before Matayo visits and the Spring Game is tacky and classless.

Everybody is ignoring the strangest part about this entire situation.
Several weeks ago after Big Dave made the post about NIL changing Matayo's recruitment, lots of Clemson fans blew up the post saying that it obviously meant that Clemson was out of the running.
Big Dave's response to that was to post a screen shot of Matayo on a video call with Dabo while saying that Clemson was definitely still an option.
What a very odd decision to post like Clemson has never contacted Matayo AFTER posting a picture to show proof that Matayo was talking to Dabo and that he was still entertaining the idea of going to Clemson.

He was “All in” with Clemson until DJU did a face plant in a giant cow patty. Appears he is now planning to be a Pimp Daddy for Matayo. I wonder if Dabo & staff might be thinking ‘no thanks’ despite the huge need to reload at DE after next year?

try to p!mp your son out to the highest bidder, and then, no longer hear communications from Clemson, maybe that is a form of NONVERBAL communication in and of itself?
It could be that Dabo don't play those games?
