Everyone has struggles especially Christians. What we do in the dark will come to light and often this is when we are forced to deal with the issue. I hate that things turned out the way they did but I believe God isn'the done using Perry Noble! Praying for New Spring Church and for Perry! #firststone #forgiveness

I work in Anderson and have heard a couple of interesting stories from someone I believe to very reliable:
1. His wife (Lucretia who is a MD in town) has left him. Not sure when.
2. According to NS...his wife was "100% behind the firing"......pretty telling to me.
3. A former nanny to the Nobles claims that they were very difficult to work for. Sense of entitlement.
4. They have a young daughter who had her own "area" at church. She would not go into normal kids rooms/services.

One last story form someone who I trust:
He is not a big fan on the NS style but he did go once to check it out. During service, they invite all new comers to go to some after service. I think he said it was a "VIP room".
So...he goes to the VIP room (just the type of guy he is). Said that they give him coffee and start talking to him as if he is their best friend. They give him a gift of a coffee mug for stopping by. They also ask him to fill out a form. Has your standard name, address, etc. Also on the form they ask for household income.

Perry Noble removed as pastor at NewSpring for personal behavior related to alcohol. Williamston Town Councilman Rockey Burgess said the news "did come as a shock" in the 9:15 a.m. service, even though recent rumors had prepared him to a degree."Everybody was kind of shocked," Burgess said. "But the church isn't made up of only football lovers and the amount of money that was funneled was shocking and had to be provided by a brewing company.

I really hope that these rumors regarding Clemson and this man are just that. Rumors.
For years folks have been talking about Clemson and Newsprings just because some of the Clemson players attend services there. Also because Dabo wears his Christianity on his sleeve.
I for one am going to say a prayer for this man, his family, and his church.

Agree it is not a reliable source. Some random person on Twitter saying he has a source is also not reliable.
I have not gone to the TN and USC fan sites to see what is being said. But, I am sure in their jealousy, they are having a field day with these rumors.

Perry Noble down while Brooks and Venables poured alcohol down his throat. This happened once a week. At the same time, Hobby and Elliot were off starting rumors about Noble's marriage.
Apparently all this was done in misdirection as they funneled hundreds of thousands of IPTAY dollars through Newspring to recruits and the PRTM department.
It has also come to light that Joey Batson was the mastermind behind the entire operation.

He doesn't seem to be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. It's as if he thinks it is the power of God unto salvation or something.
I feel sorrow for those who rejoice about this tragedy.
As far as folks saying bad things about Clemson or New Springs...when a spiritually mature friend of mine was told that someone was speaking ill of him, he replied 'Good, maybe they'll leave someone else off their gossip list for a while.'
He turned to me and saw my inquisitive stare and told me that bad folks speak evil of the good all the time. Maybe someone they said horrible things about would get a break since he's made their list.
Honestly, Clemson is rolling in academics, graduation rates and at the top of football. The first words out of a jealous man's mouth are not fit for mixed company.

a tragedy especially when it was your own dang fault. He can go find another job tomorrow. Read your own definition. A tragedy is losing your life not getting caught screwing around on your spouse. Alcoholism might cause suffering, but you can quit and change that.
Who is delighted in the guy's pain? Not anybody in this thread.

And being a pastor is more of a vocation than a job. It's tragic, especially for a pastor who was so successful in many other ways, for something like misuse of alcohol to cause somebody to be fired by the church they started.

I feel no joy. My family lives in Anderson. They do not attend Newsprings but many of their friends do.
As I have said, I pray for this man, his family, and the entire church. Many of the church members are hurting. Noble will be missed greatly by them.
