Oregon and Washington seem like schools you add to round out a conference, not primary targets. Big 10 can get them anytime.

It's not about the quality of the programs but more about TV markets which generate the massive money for college athletics. Right now, the Big Ten have the 4 largest market and something like 15 or 16 of the top 35 or 40. Here's a TV market link. The reason they might admit Washington is because of the Seattle TV market just like Rutgers brought in NJ-NYC
