Use a napkin, only use containers designed for holding liquids, and keep your eyes open.

Tried to get the fancy tour at Buff Trace on Sunday but those tickets sell out as soon as they go on sale.

driving around the town, but there are some real hidden gems for restaurants---I just trust Yelp there and it hasn't let me down. Look for the best bourbon lists and usually the good food follows.
I'm in MD this weekend with daughter, but my wife and son are going to the game. Lots of Louisville friends have told us that attendance is super sparse this season, and that if you don't like your seats when you get there, everybody is pretty much moving down to better seats after kickoff and not getting hassled.

Museum and factory tour inside same building will fill an AM

Took sonof- on the Louisville Slugger tour in 2019 when we were there for one of daughterof-'s cheer comps. The factory is a working factory, where they make both commercially available bats and those spec'ed to Major League players. And they give you a mini souvenir bat when the tour is over.
The museum is small but pretty nice. Lots of historic bats used by HOF'ers.

We ate at Doc Crows and Jeff Rubys. Both were great.

Went to Louisville Slugger and Angels Envy. Stayed at the Galt House.
I'd recommend all that. Galt house was a throw back hotel but still kinda cool.
Gambled on Saturday at Churchill Downs before Kelly Bryant beat down Lamar Jackson with Gameday on hand.
Great weekend.

Would echo almost all of this. We do Jeff Ruby's every year

there--'15, '17, and '19. Bet some ponies at Churchill Downs. Old Forester tour was great, wish I'd had a crowd that wanted to spend full days doing those tours. The Fourth St. "complex" is pretty cool, lots of bars and restaurants on a single block. The Social Club (can't remember if that's the exact name) has pretty much everything you'd need in a bar--bowling alley, YUGE screens, and an upstairs with cornhole and every other bar game you can think of. We've done 6-8 hour marathons in that place more than once.
This place:
Haymarket is one of the best whiskey bars in a town full of great whiskey bars. Make sure it's open before you go--we showed up at 2:30 one afternoon and they didn't open until 3:30.

So Jeff Ruby's is delicious, but it's a chain.

It's about like going to Morton's or a Capitol Grill. You're gonna get good food, but it's an experience that can be replicated in about 10 other locations.

reservations at the Cincy one a couple years ago, still catch shit from my crowd about it. That's kinda like Hall's, which had been a single location on King St. for...not as long as it seems, but a long time. Now there's like 4 of them, give or take? I was curious whether the service/quality would suffer, but the one around the corner from me has been spot on the handful of times I've been. They won't ever get the King St. ambiance in another location, but food quality and service didn't seem to skip a beat.

I know we have one in Nashville.
Looking at their site they have 5—fewer than I thought. Louisville, Lexington, cincy, Columbus, nashville.

Amazing place and amazing people. Beautiful tasting area.
It’s right at the baseball stadium - can check all that out.
Right there, too, is a brewery & restaurant - Against the Grain - great beers & good food and a cool venue.
Louisville is one of our favorite places to visit.
Great folks and a cool place.
