WE TOO THIN?

Just an observation, but how are we THIN on the D-line? Being unproven and being thin are two different things. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Lawson will have to play there some.

Remember UGA when we didn't have Barnes or Crawford.... Gurley left, Chubb right. We are both thin and unproven.

But we don't open the season like that. Let's start there. Secondly, that meant that Lawson was on the other side of Beasley. Are you saying he will not be a year better? Thirdly, last I checked Gurley left, Chubb right began happening in quarter 4. Before then, you had a stalled Clemson offense that did little to nothing in the second half. Judging from the Spring game and knowing Watson will be running the show, I don't think the situation will be the same at any rate.

We have a proven line with last years second string bringing in an average of 4.something TFL's per game...one player doesn't make/break the line. BV knows what he is doing and I have the utmost faith he will keep the defense from falling off much if any.

Although we will be young, they are very talented...I mean you have Huggins, Yeargin, Johnson, Bryant, Ferrel, Register, to name a few behind a very good Lawson and Dodd...most of these guys were highly recruited and will be ready to play...one or two will shine and step up and be a big contributor just like we have a few young guys every year that step up we didn't really expect...nothing diff with this position.

And the UGA game was not about being thin...it was having an enept offense that kept the defense on the field for 90% of the second half...that wasn't happening in the first half.

Teams will still need to score 35+ to beat us. Most, if not all, won't get close to 35.
