A star studded list. Some of our all time favorite Tigers! So what does it mean? I think the rating system can only do so much. High School students are at different levels of development and opportunity. A good recruiting staff can maybe identify some “diamonds in the rough”. A good coaching staff can “coach ‘em up”!
And there are also the very talented kids who don’t have the same education opportunities to make it to a power 5 conference.
I’m All In and was 40 years before that was even a thing.
Love Dabo and his staff. Look forward to Clemson’s future including finding more “diamonds in the rough”!

T.J.Green - - - Clemson star and got NFL paycheck
Hunter Renfrow - where have I heard of him?
Travis Etienne - " " " " " " ?
D.J.Reader - - - 3* stud for us and now nice NFL career
Tyler Shatley - - ditto
Kendall Josepth - ditto
This ain't just 'homer' talk ... Clemson coaches do a terrific job of recognizing under-recognized FB talent and then developing them into true stars. I'm too lazy to do the research, but I'd suggest that Clemson's 'hit rate' for 3* players is among the best in college FB.

I also forgot about Tremayne Anchrum. He had a solid career with us and is now playing for a NFC championship with the Rams.

That would be a pretty nice grew to have if could have them all at once, or at least half of them at once. But I do believe that when coaches take a 3 star recruit, they see them as a project player that they are hoping that they will earn a spot on the depth chart sooner or later during their time at Clemson, and once in a while, they will grab one that was seriously over looked, and they perform very well right away, but there aren't all that many 3 star Hunter Renfrow's playing HS FB, or like the ones that you've listed, and all of them surely didn't come to Clemson in the same recruiting year....

Clemson appears to be the leader for 4 stars Dudley and Story. Andrew Paul will become a 4 star in the final rankings. So don't count Clemson out just yet. There are obvious reason as to why Clemson has had a harder time and mainly on defense. When the best defensive coordinator leaves right before the December signing day and you lose commits it doesn't leave you much time to refill those spots. It also doesn't give you as large of a list of guys to choose from. I could understand all the whining and complaining if there were no reason for what has happened but there is a complete and understandable reason for it. So I understand why immature children would act the way some on here act but at least for a moment take the time to look deeper into the situation, it's what grown ups are suppose to do.
