My response to a Miami youtube saying our LB and Sec suck

Not really a bad analysis until he starts talking about our LBs and Secondary. Says our DL is comparable so this was my response:

You were doing ok until you mentioned that 3/4 of our defense was AWFUL. Could not be more wrong. Sure our front four is a big part of our great defense but you can't have a GREAT defense without good LBs and a good secondary. We have had many coverage sacks this year and have very good LB, CB, and safety play.

Now, let's compare our AWFUL LBs and secondary against Miami's since you mentioned that the front four on both are about the same:

Scoring defense: Miami # 15 Clemson # 4 . (now let's get to the ugly part)
Passing yards allowed: Miami # 44 Clemson # 9
Rushing yards allowed: Miami # 47 Clemson # 14
3rd down
Total defense: Miami # 41 Clemson # 6

Finally, 3rd down percentage conversion allowed: Clemson is # 6 whilst Miami isn't even in the top 50. Yikes, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Texas St, and UTSA are all better.

If our LBs and secondary are f'ing terrible then what does it say about Miami's? Especially considering we've played a bunch of the same teams and played a better out of conference schedule with Auburn and USC compared to ND and I don't know who.

You guys might win because you have a good overall team but I just think you are flat out wrong about our defense. Couple other names to consider: Ryan Carter (CB and part of that awful secondary that had a pick six last week), Mullens (CB who was a top Florida recruit and is awesome, Simmons - a freak athletic kid from Florida and tuffest hitter on the team). Finally a really good LB named Joseph - you'll hear his name a lot tomorrow.
