SIAP, maybe old news, AU stealing signals in Pasadena?

Jan 12, 2014, 10:20 AM

One of those things that sound especially bad if you get caught doing it I guess? I know we hate FSU again but still more sick of SEC hype than anything.

Impossible. According to musberger auburn was just a dominant team from a dominant conference. With their speed and size they would never need to do that.

Why mention this?***

All teams do this. Sorry about bouble post.

I don't see the problem with it

Jan 12, 2014, 10:57 AM

if you can get their signals, get'em.... this is true at every level

It's not cheating

It's FSU job to mix signals and if you have a former coach on the opposing sideline you should completely change them ....auburn isn't in the wrong

It isn't cheating but it's kind of frowned upon I would say. But the difference in FSU's offensive performance in the 1st and 2nd half should show you that once they changed their signals and Auburn's defense didn't know what was coming, the truly better team pulled ahead. I was so sick of seeing the announcers pimp Auburn's D when it is horrible

this is more what I was thinking. my gut tells me the SEC gang invests more time than many staffs trying to achieve any distasteful advantage possible. especially embarrassing when that advantage is gone and the results change so starkly. just my idealistic opinion

You guys are nuts....

Jan 12, 2014, 11:47 AM

"It's frowned upon"??

If you can pick up signals during the game, you absolutely do it. Filming an opponents practice or putting a camera on coaches would be frowned upon.

As a staff, you are looking to see if you can pick something off.

Every team tries to do this, FSU knew Craig was at Auburn...

Jan 12, 2014, 11:59 AM

so they should have changed the signals.
