want some cheese with that wine?

Whoever wrote this is a sniffling cry baby with no sense of how the real world works... and most-likely a far left liberal. No team has a right to anything.

Please explain what you are thinking because I see real validity in his points. And really don’t understand yours.
1) he clearly lays out that the Big12 is getting undo respect
2) he reminds people of Big12 losses in big games recently
3) shows the true head to head data
4) he questions how a head to head winner with a better record dropped spots and the loser climbed spots
5) points out how good the coastal BYU game was...difficult to watch in my iPad due to the Clemson vetch game
6) infers the power five conferences have a right to the playoff, shutting out other, possible worthy, schools
7) never makes any reference to his political leanings, liberal, conservative, communist or other

Well it's looking like Ohio ST. has a right to it after only playing 5 games and changing the rules.

I agree with the points about the Big 12. I don't really feel sorry for Cincy though. Yeah, it would be great if there was a way for them to play a game against one of the elite teams(wish they could play Ohio State this week) but, you just can't convince me that they're one of the best 4 teams in the country.

Their best win of the season is probably against Army which they won 24-10. This is an Army team that lost 38-12 to a 6-5 Tulane team. Cincy led the game against Army 10-7 at halftime, and it was still 17-10 until under 7 minutes left in the game.

They have the win over SMU who was ranked at the time, but what has SMU done? They're 7-3 including a 52-38 loss to a 3-6 East Carolina team.

Where's the impressive win by Cincinnati that has left everyone so impressed with them this season? was it the 36-33 win over UCF who happens to be 6-3 this year?

I just simply don't understand the hype.

Hmmm. They are called the Power 5 for a reason. The reason

is that they hold all the Power in college football. A concession was made when the CFP was set up just to allow the highest ranked Group of Five team a guaranteed spot in a New Year's Six Bowl game. That right there should have been a clue that they were not going to the Playoffs.Ever, as the article said.
