Should we stop recruiting IMG?

Yes/no? The coaches will do what they do and they know best, but I haven’t been impressed with any IMG prospects that we got (or almost got and missed). Are y’all as unimpressed with this “superpower academy” as I am? XT is the best one, and I’m sure many of y’all expected him to be the second coming of Vic Beasley. Love XT, and he’s been great, but he’s fallen short of that unrealistic standard.
What do y’all think? Hope we keep Everette committed, but the last two IMG decommits, along with our historical lack of return, makes me wonder if we should just leave that school alone.

Ha! Of course we need players. We will take all of their top players if they want to come. I think it’s just interesting that our only decommits so far are from IMG players.
That brings up the point of how many decommits we have had in the past decade? Not many, and I can think of the two this year and Shaq Smith (who later recommitted) as 3 that attended IMG.

It’s just the cats from New Jersey… They grew up with so much Clemson hate around them and as soon as they perceive a crack, they gone. It’s alright boys.

When I was in Clemson 77-81 it seems like half the guys living in my dorm were from Jersey. Seems out tuition was so much less than that area it was just more feasible to come to college at Clemson

Nah, they produced several key contributors to the recent 30-0 win over Uof7C if you don’t remember. One of them being starting WR Will Swinney.

Will swinney had 2 catches for 1 yard............and are you really using South Carolina as a bar to measure ourselves against or justify 2021 success?.......don't know about you, but I think much more of the Clemson program than that.

We need 13 more commits and it’s almost signing day. We should be recruiting anyone and everyone. Hell, we should send our coaches up to Bishop Sycamore! No stone left unturned.

I've been on ESPN, Rivals and 24/7 and there are very few players left. Looks like we may be pooched in 2022 which means that 2023's class will have to be MASSIVE...

I live next to IMG. It is a sport factory. Building more facilities as I write. $ is all they care about. Do not expect loyalty. Their players are brought together to form a super team, but individually they appear to be overrated and not team players.

I'm kind of with you, not impressed with IMG.
Additionally, have we gotten too caught up in chasing the hyped recruits instead of getting good recruits and developing them over time - or, with the port hole, is that no longer an option?
