Should we have declined the NIT like UNC?

1

Mar 14, 2023, 12:55 AM

UNC had a failed season. Them playing in the NIT really only hurts their recruiting. A loss in the NIT is worse on the recruiting trail for them than not playing at all. Doesn’t feel exactly the same for me for Clemson. Maybe if we win the whole thing we can throw shade at the NCAA for not being selected, but anything else just feels like another humdrum Clemson basketball season and won’t move the needle one way or another for us in recruiting. I’m still salty that they had UNC ahead of us in the first four out.

My Personal opinion is that I feel we should have turned the NIT down, it would sent a message to the NCAA to screw them and the NIT bc we were better than the NIT!!!

Need to give the players the opportunity to play additional games which I am sure they are happy to do. Plus it gives additional revenue for the athletic department and potentially to the conference. I think UNC should be fined by the ACC for costing the conference revenue that is shared with all the members.

Always let the kids play for something regardless of tourney

It’s home games and they get a chance to grow and get better.

Brad did a good job this season but if we ever expect to be better we are going to have to up our expectations.

You get what you expect. Give you players a vision of winning every game every season.

We can only expect to be good if we expect to be good.

Alright Brad, you have 3 more years, do something to make us proud, go Tigers 🐅
