Should we drop the FB Program & get back to pure education without the frills?!

Saying..paying players to “become” students is backwards..
while paying our football coaches $1 Million up, not to mention having the Nation’s highest paid head coach at $9,200,000 per year is crazy too.
Oh, couple ex players now making millions too, as are their formers coaches, are demanding changes at a college that gave them a free schollie for education & playing fun ball.
And, the free schollie was paid for by many many thousands of average people like you & me thru an organization named IPTAY (I Pay Ten A Year) formed during the Great Depression over 75 yrs ago.
Clemson has been & will be an entity longer than any ball player, coach or team, thankfully.
Saying, leave your filthy hands off my Rock (or current names of founders) if you can’t give Dear Ole Clemson 110% worth of loyalty & leave her as you found her when you came to love her..but don’t totally now since you’ve become a big shot.
The nerve!

Great question. As much as I love football, it's a love I

choose to have because it is there, like climbing Everest. I could say goodbye to it. If a continual fight to be as-holy-as-thou is the price of playing, if having to exist in that sandbox is what college athletics is, I wouldn't miss it more than a day if we dropped it. I obviously hope we don't, but if we did, que sera sera.

Lol. Have voted Republican every time until Trump. Just try to listen to other people instead of mouthing off with my opinion like most on here. All I’m saying is I’d be happy to buy up those tickets if y’all decide you’re out. Already have season tix but I’ll move on up and don’t let the door hit you on the way out “conservative” hahaha

Good point. I do know from inside sources, with rising cost in athletics, the one thing Iptay and Clemson are looking to do is cut fan attendance and donations. Even if by 5% It is always a solid business model to #### off a large number of your states citizens who are donors also. Seems to build up good will for future/ potential fans

"We" will. Have always operated under the assumption you should take into account money when trying to decide if you should do the right thing lol.

So very true. This name change thing at Clemson is a shot across the bow to see if it will fly. They are already in the process of lobbying to remove statues and change names at other locations in the state. If they succeed at Clemson the next move will be to remove Calhoun's name from everything in the state. It won't end. As soon as we succumb to one demand they will move on to the next.
