and played the semifinals today. Miami and Wake have already advanced whether they win or lose. I'm not a big fan of this tournament format.

I hate this format too, but they play bowl games outside the CFP, so "they earned the right to play"***

Absolutely. Just give the top 4 a bye and go back to double elimination or something. No way should a game in a conf tourney not matter is all.
