It’s a regular season award. They give out player of the game awards in the bowl games and NC game. Pretty much every sport both collegiate and Pro does it this way.

I don't necessarily agree with Jalen Hurts, but there really is no argument against the other three. And Burrow should and will win the Heisman. I don't think a Clemson player will ever win with Dabo as coach. He's about development and process and program, the individual awards don't matter unless they are a result of the other things. And frankly, until FSU, UNC or someone can start displaying us in high-profile games, there will not be enough eyeballs

That and it’s hard to build up a ton of stats when your defense is only giving up 10 points per game.
