dude I had no idea she was this big of a deal. Zero.
I had no idea her new stuff wasn't country. If you held a gun to my head (prior to my wife playing all her #### songs, obviously) and asked me to name a Taylor Swift song....I'd sing, When you say Tim McGraw, you sing my favorite song, I dance to it all night long....yeahhhh
There's people who went to her shows multiple nights? I assume she plays the same sets like all the other mainstream type artists right?
everyone dresses up in all this #### to go see her? my sister, coworkers, random people I know around town who went....everyone wore a costume or a theme?
someone told me she's duking it out w/ a record label? she's got her own versions of song to cut em out?
She's selling out football stadiums night after night after night. The show here, lady at the post office was saying, didn't start till 1045, finished after like 2 am, and the whole stadium was slammed. On a friggin sunday.

Fortunately got tickets through ticketmaster and didn't get raped paying 2nd hand prices.
Yes, she's a yuuuuuuuuuuuuge deal.
Also, she played 44 songs. FORTY FOUR. Find me another artist who plays for 3-1/2 hours.
I knew about a dozen of the songs just from the radio, but 98% of the people there knew all 44 songs word-for-word. It was insanity.
She sold out her stadium tour in a matter of hours and it only took that long because Ticketmaster kept crashing. You can say what you want, but she's a titan of the music industry right now. No denying it.

Was Sunday night and it was stormy af. No way thru could have started on time at an outdoor stadium. Fri and say’s shows were more normal.

My oldest daughter (35 years old) drove (from SC) to my house in Atlanta to go to the concert. She spent $1030 (pre-fees) on floor seats for the Sunday night show. She showed me the row in front of her was going for $3,400 the day of the show. (no she wouldn't sell them, I asked). Her best friend from 2nd grade through high school flew in from Washington (state) to go with her.
My youngest daughter (27 years old) flew from San Francisco to Nashville for the Saturday concert.
Both called it an experience of a lifetime and are trying to negotiate their Christmas and Birthday gifts to be tickets to a show in CA this summer. Calling it a sister bonding experience that would be unmatched in their lifetime.
They each dressed for their concert. I told my oldest to stay close to the stadium because she didn't want to walk in downtown Atlanta with what she was wearing. Youngest was a bit (much) more modest.

Raising two girls introduced me to Swift. When the oldest , then a 10th grader, had her first realish breakup back in the day - she played this over and over and over until the tear ducts ran dry. Now that she is a successful young adult - we mock her by playing this when we can to get a rise out of her.
As far as you not knowing about playoff changes, it just means you have a healthy and rich life with more important interests.
