Heather Dinich

Wrote an article today stating that Bama has the #1 SOS amongst the contenders. What currently ranked teams have they beat again? Bama should honestly be #5.

Would you turn a criticism of a male sports writer into something sexual? Why do it here? Rise above this kind of ****.

She was also the only person before the first committee rankings that had Clemson #1.***

What strikes me as funny about strength of schedule,

Dec 3, 2015, 8:39 PM

Is that no one ever takes into consideration that a team with a tough schedule didn't win all those ball games. I heard an ESPiN pundit arguing that Stanford should be in because they had such a difficult schedule... well they lost two football games, so there's that.

Bama has played well, but to argue to that they have the strongest SOS is at the very least a flawed notion. That SOS is argued off of the perceived strength of the SEC West. Didn't any of these ESPiN folks learn anything last year? (SEC West was 0-5 in bowl games.) Bama lost a game, yet technically that game helps their SOS. That game was lost to Ole Miss, who has lost 3 games. One of those games of course was to Memphis...yes Memphis! Arguing SOS is the equivalent of saying that Arkansas is one of the best teams in the country, with 5 losses, because people watching the football games thought they had a tough schedule. It's a joke.

This eye test and strength of schedule is a farce. It is no different than judges awarding points at a dance competition... It's all opinion. Until a team lines up across from another team and fights that battle, no one really knows. I don't trust strength of schedule or those who stand behind it. 7spots says Clemson has the #1 strength of schedule... So take that for what it's worth. I have no agenda and you can trust me... I promise!

Is she trying to see who can hold the most teeth in their mouth or something. All those coots missing teeth and she is hogging at least 15 extra. Dinich needs a dentist.

I think Heather Dinich is a moron, but

Dec 3, 2015, 10:22 PM

The strength of record is a new stat that ESPN made up this year to better argue their agenda.

It seems to me like she has Clemson still above Alabama, as she graded us an "A" and Alabama an "A-". I didn't read what she wrote about bama, but her assessment on us seemed fair.

It's not just about wins over ranked teams

Dec 3, 2015, 11:56 PM

A bunch of the teams alabama has faced are 8 and 9 win teams. They might not be ranked or ranked super high but they are pretty good teams like Georgia/Arky/LSU/TAMU/MissSt. Being honest, those teams are better than anyone we've played besides FSU and ND. We have better elite wins, but they played better mid-level competition. Whatever metric she must be using must value that a lot or whatever.
