Our softball program has a LOT of very good players. We even have a few GREAT players.
In Val Cagle, we have an all time great player. Probably the best ever in the ACC. What are the odds this would happen to the program right away. We are so fortunate!

She is the most dominant student-athlete I have seen on a Clemson uniform. She can do it all and she does it all at an elite level.

But not only does it help the current team but sets us us for a giant trajectory to be good for years to come. Any top softball recruits can see how good our team is, how great the coaching is, they can see the new facilities, they see the fan support all being huge inspiration to join a top up and coming program. All this giving Rittman a huge recruiting benefit combined with a school that has been blown up in Brand awareness due to football success.
I hope we make it deep into the post season and fortunately we should have 1 more year with the majority of this team. I think we have a the perfect foundation for years to come.
Plus they are fun to watch!

But they didn’t put it anywhere near the zone.
During the next atbat, the runner from third scored on a sac fly then the next batter hit a 3 run home run so it didn’t really help them anyways.

Maybe more impressively, Bonds was walked with the bases EMPTY 19 times. In one season.

up with Clemson sports since I can remember. I was PA announcer for football and basketball for several years. I helped broadcast games on the network with Jim Phillips. I helped establish the women's basketball network. I have broadcast women's basketball and baseball on cable tv. I did all this blabbing to establish my qualifications to make the following statement. I have never seen at Clemson, an athlete to equal Valrie Cagle.
