Serious question involving DJ

This is getting to be a trend. Why does DJ look better earlier in games? He's pretty horrible by the second half. His touchdowns drives have been happening early, when they happen. Is he mentally not able to handle the stress as the game plays on? I mean this in all seriousness. It is happening over and over.

No . . . why is it happening? Maybe it is part the coaches fault? If it is all on DJ, that's one thing. But it could be coming from somewhere else as well.

I wondered the same but this is my best guess.
The first series is pregame scripted. Then if it's a 3out, then they continue the ###### based off the very first play. So if he knows there are 9-12 scripted plays, then he doesn't have to think. Once the ###### is over, then it is playcalling. Maybe he has the ###### memorized but then when new plays are called he has to think them out and gets twisted.
I have wondered the same. I also wondered if our scores with NCSt were the scripted plays and then in second half, did they run that same ######.
I think DJU is talented, but he needs to know the play, he can't play RPO or option. That is why he gets busted for staring down WRs. So TE meeds to dumb down the offense to make it flow until he grasps it.

I think that you are probably pretty close. If he needs to make a decision, like on the read option or RPO he seems to make the wrong one. It seems to me that he throws a better ball when he is forced out of the pocket and it is just reaction rather than having his head get in the way.

I honestly think he's getting confused. The first series or two are scripted, after that its watch for this, or watch when they do that. We've seen DJ struggle with the RPO all year. Trevor made it look easy but I really do think DJ just isn't processing the info fast enough. Elliot sure isn't doing him any favors with play calling but there's plenty of blame to go around.
