I am reading that some of you feel not winning championships is ok, that 10 wins a season is a great seaon especially if Clemson is running a clean "Christian" like program. You know what, that's totally fine to believe that. Everyone is free to believe what they believe and I'm all for that. But....Dabo is a football coach making 15mil a year. I mean his title is football coach not minister. If you would rather have a minister go right ahead, but should he be paid 15mil for mediocrity in a weak ACC? I love Dabo, but he has gotten arrogant and I miss the hungry Dabo. So I guess my real question is, are you ok with 15mil for mediocrity? I mean he is a football coach right? Shouldn't he be judged on wins, losses, game plans, hires etc? Don't get me wrong building good men and them graduating is great but at 15mil is that what some of yall priorities are? Nobody is saying he is a bad man. I just don't get why some ppl can't see the line between his job coaching and building great men. 15 mil a yr he should be doing both. Dunno maybe I'm wrong to try to say with his salary and title, mediocrity isn't going to cut it.

I think what he’s getting at is that the hungry climb to the top of the mountain was a lot more fun than the fall on the way back down….is that right?

Yes, and why can't Dabo be a good man, build these kids up, run a clean program and handle his coaching duties which he is making a lit of money to do. People are saying he is digging his heels in, not changing with the landscape of the game, nepotism, not doing all he can do like going outside the program for top rate hires. Seems like some say we'll he is a good guy so mediocrity is ok, is it? Can't he do both? Why is it either or?

ACC teams, so he did his job in conference. Do you not see blue bloods in college football continually struggling? Be thankful for what we have. Only one team wins the title.

You also see how long the "blue bloods" stay down once they slip. Only exception to that is Bama because Saban would fire his mother if she was not performing. Dabo has become loyal to mediocrity.
Unless Cade is T.L. 2.0+, we are going to be in trouble next year. What happened at FSU when Bobby started hiring friends and family?

is to assume that success requires cheating and doing other unethical things. Their excuse for Dabo is that he does things the right way, and thus can’t be expected to have us a consistently elite program if that’s what is required.
It’s a masterful excuse, but one that people here shouldn’t fall for.
