Our strength on D last year was D-line with a good secondary. Our strength on D this year is secondary with a good D-line. I suspect that LSU will move down the field early in the game but get stymied in the red zone and have to settle for FG's. After BV sees what they are doing the elaborate blitz packages and coverages will start. I think we spy Burrow similar to what we did with Perkins and a little more than we did Fields. Much of Burrow's success in the OU game was due to him having a week and a half to throw the ball.

Burrow (and the LSU fan base) have also been just a bit cocky and smug...don't think Burrow will be walking on water this game. This won't be the 1st time we've faced the best team ever...I'll take our coaches over any each and every day.

I also believe a pi$$ed off TLaw and Tiger O will have a big night. My prediction CU 42 LSU 30

How much do you need to substitute to make your elaborate packages work? LSU will not give you time for that on most plays. And when you do substitute, they will know something new is coming.

I deeply respect BV and your defense. But just as you say you have heard it all before, we have heard all of this before.

You can beat LSU by confusing them with one brand new scheme then shifting quickly to another as soon as they figure it out. But if Brady and E figure out your second one quickly, I doubt you will have a third one to put in.

It should be a great game.

OSU tried to keep us from substituting with a little success

early on. It's not just BV our D-backs have "been there and done that", they know how to disguise coverages and bait a QB (See Bama & 2ah '18). Simmons is the best D player in the nation and will be all over the field (the next T. Polamalu in the NFL). J. Fields had (1) interception all year and (2) against us.

Also, will the stage be too big for LSU, the expectations? We've got the experience and a bad taste in our mouths from the last time we played in N'awlins. I like our chances.

You are right it should be a great game.

All of out blitz packages can be performed by our base personal.

OSU had brilliant offensive minds too and we shut them down in the second half.
