Is there any hard evidence at all directly linking the Micah kid and/or the father to the rock vandalism? All I've seen is video of a truck riding by....

Personally, I think he's innocent. There is just no way a Clemson fan would do this to our most famous symbol. He was simply at the wrong place at time. He posted pictures of the stadium that night, and he can't be that stupid if he were there to vandalize the place UNLESS he were a fan of a rival and wanted to brag. He was not.
I think they're blaming him because he came forward trying to help, and he's the ONLY lead they EVER got. There's just no way a Clemson fan would have done it. That, and he was crying in his mugshot. I'm afraid he won't be able to prove his innocence though, they're never gonna catch anyone. All they have is his truck driving by...and they're gonna slam him for it because that's all they have. No Clemson fan would do this.

I have 13.5 years of law enforcement experience. They are not going to charge this guy because he was coming forward to help and they had no one else to blame it on. And like the others have posted, if they are also charging the father with conspiracy. They have more than you think.

Some police departments are less adept than others.
However, in this case I agree with you, they have to have more than just that video to bring charges
|

I don't know...some fans are crazy like that. Look at all crazy the Elvis / Beetles / Michael Jackson fans who wanted a "little" piece of their clothing. They did everything to rip it off their bodies because they felt they deserve it as die hard fans.

that obstruction of justice for the dad. I don't know exactly what it takes to get charged with that, but it seems somebody would need something to suggest they were lied to.
