I could accept white helmets with orange paw for a special occasion but none of the shiney crap on twitter. All these crazy uniform trends are for second class programs seeking attention. There's a school 100 miles from Clemson displays buffoonish taste in uniform choices on a regular basis.

If my memory is right, an assistant posted this picture during the summer which makes me believe they have them...they're just hiding them. We come out for warmups wearing normal orange on white with normal helmets and come back wearing these bad boys and orange on orange.
Just my guess. I wouldn't hate the idea. Golden Domers vs. Orange Chrome Domers

I'm as old school as you get, but darn, those helmets are pretty darn hot. Not to mention, it's not just what we oldsters are liking, but to that kid that does see the 94 Oregon combinations, a little special variety now and then is big. I worked for years surrounded by young athletic men in the Corps, ya think they were not talking about those Duck unis on Monday morning? Or that ugly mess Jawga tried that time?

I think you may be right right. That helmet exists somewhere. The players love this kind of stuff. I remember in my playing days we wore black pants home and away. Then our coach surprised us with white shiny pants as we were getting dressed for our championship game. It lit a fire in our gut and we went nuts...for WHITE PANTS!?! And we won too. If they roll down the hill with these helmets, these kids will be out of their minds and the fans will go wild. Its not a permanent change, its a special occasion and it still stays true to the traditionalists.

Can you ever go wrong with more chrome? Isn't that like a Universal Law somewhere?
Chrome for the Domers, I like it.
I can't wait to see the look on ND faces when they run into the buzz saw that is our team.

That helmet was sent to Clemson as some sort of promotional item and was subsequently auctioned off at one of Dabo's charity events.
Highly doubt we will see anything like this and if we were to use any other helmet in a one-off type deal I would hope it was a white helmet with an orange paw.

Let's hope not, gimmicky uniforms are for second tier teams with no tradition. We're better than that and on the biggest stage of the season it would be sad not keep to tradition. We wear these helmets and we're like Boise State.

Similar to the USCjr game when he pulled out the all orange uniforms and the team got an extra (sometimes shaking it up = firing up). Dabo pulls out the helmets after pre game speech...Tigers will kick some leprechaun ####!!! Either way, GO TIGERS!!!
