Clemson offers talented specialist

Rising senior kicker/punter Robert Gunn (Seminole, Fla.) announced a Clemson offer on Sunday morning. "What an amazing visit at Clemson University this weekend," he posted on social media. I think a point should be given when kickoff goes through the uprights.

HS kickers, they kickoff from the 40 yard line, and if it goes through the uprights, that is like kicking a 70 yard field goal, bc the uprights are 10 yards beyond the goal line. But in college, he will kickoff from the 35, and if he kicks through the uprights from the 35, he is a NFL pro bowl kicker for sure!!!

We will need a KO Specialist and possibly PK next year assuming Swanson focuses on punting role.

I hope we land him!!! He has a great leg for kicking the ball!! Some work in the strength and conditioning room will definitely make up the 10 yard difference between High School and College. Also, offers from the Military Academy's shows he must be very good in the Classroom as well. Now that Clemson has offered , he will probably get alot more D1 offers, but I hope he is a Clemson Tiger!!
