Ok then if that's the case...

we're the highest ranked ACC or B1G team available. Why wouldn't they pick us?

Again, why???

Dec 7, 2014, 3:28 PM

The Citrus is SEC vs B1G or ACC. Clemson is the highest ranked ACC/B1G team available. If the Citrus picks BEFORE the Russell, then why wouldn't they take us??

affiliation match ups. The ACC Had a deal with the Citrus if the Orange took a Big 10 but Miss St mysteriously jumps 3 spots to overtake Mich St who everybody thought was getting an Orange Bowl bid.

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

Here's a good explanation

So - it just looks like the fact that Miss St got the nod in the Orange screwed up the availability of the Citrus for an ACC team.

Quote from about halfway down:

"I'd imagine the only scenario where a Big Ten team lands in the Orange Bowl is if Michigan State can jump Mississippi State in the rankings, though I doubt that happens with Sparty at #10 last week and the Bulldogs at #4. It looks like Georgia Tech will face Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl, which then locks the ACC out of the Citrus Bowl."

Apparently the bowl committees are powerless and pick who they're told to pick.***
