as it is Disney (i.e. ESPN/abc) and their TV contracts. Sure Fox Sports has started getting a few games and CBS has that one SEC game a week (which is going away in 2024) but by and large ESPN owns college football because 90% of the weekly FBS games are broadcast over Disney's networks and all but 2 bowl games (1 on Fox and 1 on CBS). The ESPN - SEC TV deal is their biggest college football investment and it behooves ESPN to promote and gain value from that investment at every given opportunity - and they do.
