SEC Dream Scenario
Oct 28, 2022, 9:01 AM

So instead of trying to figure out how the Clemson hating powers that be would try for as many SEC teams as possible in the playoffs, what about this scenario: Alabama beats LSU but then loses to Ole Miss Bama and LSU finish with two losses but Bama has the tie breaker and plays the SECCG. Tennessee loses to Kentucky but beats Georgia so they have the tiebreaker and play the SECCG. Bama avenges their earlier loss to Tennessee and is SEC Champion, but with two losses. Clemson wins out TCU wins out Mi or God forbid Ohio State win out Oregon wins out with only one loss Three undefeated conference champions and a one loss conference champion should trump a two loss champion or a one loss Georgia that didn't even play for the conference championship
It could happen

Santa Claus might not come for Christmas either. Stop trying if we are 13-0 we are in.

That's not the point. This is about how the SEC could get left out. Keep up.

In that scenario, they still put Bama in at #4.

A one loss Oregon compared to a one loss Georgia...since Georgia gave the one loss to Oregon....I think they would pick Georgia...hard to believe a conference champion would win over an actual decision on the field!

You do need to figure out a second loss for Ole Miss. If they beat Bama and Bama and LSU have 2 losses as your scenario suggests, Ole Miss is going to the SECCG.

While you are thinking switch the PAC12 champion to the real USC at 12-1 and that loss by one point on the road at Utah.
Yes, Utah must find another loss for that to occur.
Ummm … I guess I’ll get back to taking them one game at a time.
Aloha

In your scenario, 10 years from now there will be a minimum of 3 SEC teams claiming this year's national title.

It probably will end up that way, Heaven forbid, don't leave two 1 loss SEC teams out of the playoffs. After all, they beat each other up all through regular season, and deserve two slots in the playoffs, Right, Noooooooo!!! They believe public opinion that they play in the toughest conference in college FB, but on the other hand, they think that it's a joke that there were 4 ACC teams ranked all season to date. Public is only right when they talk about how good the SEC is!!!

My SEC Dream scenario is much simpler.

For the rest of the season:
1. Bama loses every game it plays. 2. Florida loses every game it plays. 3. aTm loses every game it plays except Florida.
That's my dream scenario.

Losers: SEC Mentality!

It use to be thought: "whoever wins the SEC is the best team in America"!
Until it was proven: "incorrect as all get out"!
Why try to stack the deck? Unless the SEC propaganda machine is "scared like a little blank" their champion will get trounced again!
Win your conference and get into the tournament. Your champ vs. everybody else's champ! The rest: ST_U!
When I see all the wild scenarios getting more teams in to better the odds; "it's laughable to me"! Running scared. When they had the rest of CFB believing "oh, if they are SEC nobody else can hang with them" was proven wrong. The facade started failing and this huge need to improve the odds began.
Stop it SEC lover-dudes! Just Stop! Let your champ represent your conference. If you are hot stuff like you claim; it will be proven on the football field.
