Scrimmage notes from today

15

Apr 1, 2023, 4:15 PM

Cole Turner was the only WR to make any big plays, had a nice catch and run for a long TD and a long 50/50 ball caught at the goal line, we need our best guys back. Adam Randall played some but didn’t stand out, Antonio make some catches. We used the middle of the field a ton with the TEs and Spector.

Cade looked fine, Hunter Helms looked great, Vizzina is well built and throws a beautiful ball. Trent Pearman threw a 90 yard pick 6 to Denhoff. Armon Mason had another long pick 6 (weird 2 DE pick 6s).

Peter Woods tan out with the 1s. Phil Mafah is a full grown man, beast. Nothing much to report, offense is a work in progress, the o line looks huge. I was looking for some of the pick plays and formations from the video tutorial GR put out that was posted a few months ago, but didn’t see any of it.

Happy Saturday Tnet!

We had him and one other kicking FGs and neither missed a kick (I didn’t recognize who the second was).

Dominique Thomas looked really good too, took a lot of reps. He should see a lot more PT this year.

He’s really good man, he’s 100% a Clemson man and not going anywhere but he could start at other power 5 schools.

The o line looked good, no one stood out (which is a good thing), when it was 1s vs 1s.

May I ask who you are, and how were you allowed to be at practice scrimmage, are you a friend of a coach or high profile player, or even connected to the FB program in some way?

Really think Cade is going to have a break out year fully believe he has a chance to be one of the greats but wish I was hearing better things it is only the spring though with plenty of WR being out

Yeah, can’t get a real feel for anything when we have the Hamp twins and Blackmon Harrington Jr the third out there as WRs.

Yep I still expect a big year from Cade there’s just no way we missed in DJ and Cade especially with his film playing in the biggest division in Texas.

I think he will too, he threw a beautiful fade pass for a TD today, we just need all his weapons at his disposal. As you’ve mentioned before, him and Cole have great chemistry.

I'm glad we will have 3 games to work things out on offense before FSU comes to town. However, we can't sleep on Duke. That opener is no cupcake.

If we have trouble with Duke, it’s going to be a long year.

Duke will have a really good defense that could make us struggle on offense if we aren’t in synch yet.

We should be able to run the ball every play and still beat Duke by 17. Quit kidding yourself they’re not a tough team.
