SC H. 3549 Prenatal Equal Protection Act 2023

Redefines “person” to include a fertilized egg at the point of conception, affording that zygote “equal protection under the homicide laws of the state” — up to and including the ultimate punishment: death.

Had 21 sponsors, now down to 19.

So the proposition is that the we should kill someone who kills a fertilized egg. Reading the bill, the fertilized egg doesn't even need to have been attached to a uterus yet, isn't that amazing? So by their standard, a person's life begins as soon as the sperm makes it into the egg, which is going to be great for all you potential Mom's out there.

At that point, those aren't just your eggs anymore, and your body for all intents is under jurisdiction and defacto legal property of the State of SC, Governor McMaster and SC AG Alan Wilson. Congrats.
