Saw a few posts and looking like TE prefers UVA over Duke

Why is that a better opportunity? Bigger budget? Both have focus in other sports. Obviously basketball for both and then both baseball and lacrosse at UVA. I know he’s a big baseball fan…

Better fans. Better recruiting ground. Better boosters. Better staff in place. Better facilities. Better pay. Better opportunity for success
Not to play this “card” but….there is a reason Duke has never had a HC of color. TE would be the first.

Neither is a great job, but UVA has a better recruiting base.

Remember, we pulled Tajh Boyd, among others, out of Virginia. RVA and Hampton Roads are loaded with talent.

Yeah I would prefer being close to Virginia Beach over Raleigh. I guess you are implying that location was part of the decision? Makes sense

UVA is hungry for a winning program and close proximity to major population centers will allow for sold out games should they start doing well.
Duke cares more about Lacrosse than football.

Grew up in Hampton, Va … southeast corner of state. My UVA buds are hearing Poindexter was wanted by some rich boosters, but Poindexter wanted all his own coaches and player academic stds “adjusted”. Keeping some of Bronco staff is non-negotiable per UVA AD. Plus they say Poindexter is not ready.
Btw, Charlottesville is 2.5 hrs plus from Va Beach. Ocean City likely closer.
