It was a long-winded article to serve solely as a means of proclaiming Bentley's forthcoming greatness, not only as Cootville savior, but the SEC as a whole. Pretty pathetic effort, too....but that's good ol' Gene S'off...

Actually, for "Sap" Sapakoff that was a decent article. He normally is an SEC horn blower. At least he admitted the mighty SEC has been beaten by the ACC for the last 2 years and they are playing catch up. But you right, he does brag about Bentley for some unknown reason.

in the SEC was part of the problem and then lists QBs in the SEC. not that they're any good. They're just QBs.

Maybe Bentley is better than we think but Hurts was 13/31 against us and 2/15 on 3rd down. Bentley was 7/17 with a 2.7 QBR. I know we are a great defense but those stats are telling.

And for the sake of a similar 40 seconds...or perhaps just an on-side kick, the ACC would be on its third Natty in four years...and the SEC would have been shut-out altogether.
