the lunge has had eras. I like em all, but what's your favorite?
I have to go with mid-aughts, when conservativealex was at the height of his litigious threats, the observer (did "ot" delete his handle? Can't at him anymore) was running amok, CS02 was making jokes that would get you instantly arrested in 2022, Tillman Girl was sharing various love life adventures, Bruce and Kelly seemed to be everywhere on the Eastern seaboard, and Harley would still drop a Robert D. Raeford-esque political opinion once in a while, complete with signature at the end of the post.
At the end of the day, I don't think it's the lunge you're so fondly remembering differently at that point as it is where you were in life at that point, but it's all good and I'm glad this place has stuck around.

I remember the people/things you mention, but not sure I could have brought them up on my own.
I will say...back in the day (not sure what years exactly), the political debate seemed to be a lot better/more substantive.

Clemson to make sure I loaded the weight in the trailer over the axel, for safety. Actually really appreciated the concern. He was an interesting bird, but man had a good heart. Loved his wife too. I also seem to recall his granddaughter or niece or something was a smokeshow.

Was listening to Smartless yesterday and they were talking about the fact that the nostalgia people have for old episodes of SNL is misplaced because it's based on only remembering the good sketches, update segments, etc.
Will Arnett was saying that the cast has always been happy to get one or two really good sketches per episode.

Were kind of fun here. The board wasn't too over run. We had real nemeses in Rusty the Rooster and Trooper Del. Happycat and RevDodd were rocking the place. The socials at baseball games were drunken fun.
Things took a dark turn on here post 9/11 and during the Iraq war on the Lounge (back when it also housed the politics). Lot of people lost their minds and forgot the whole Clemson family thing.
I don't really know what happened on here from 2007-2014 as I took a hiatus and only lurked on the main board every so often.

Met, literally, the best people in the Jounge. NO matter if I have an issue in my life or celebrating, the Lounge is straight cash Homey, all the time.

That said, celtic's Chocolate and Messican restaurant phase was pretty epic.
Nothing will ever be like the very beginning, pre-Lunge, when we who had the Lunge spirit were up in da Mange (when there was only one place to poast). The original Rock Hill Tiger threatening beat downs in the Home Depot parking lot. STERLING and joisey and others talking about our time at CU, especially Village Greens apartments. ClempSon. The list goes on.
