Sad & Not FB related but everyone's favorite car guy Jay Leno

was involved in a gas combustion type related fire accident last Sat while working under a steam engine car he owned and he had to be dragged away.
He's in the Grossnan Burn Center at West Hills Hospital, after being admitted to two other hospitals earlier.
Jay is very responsive & as chipper as normal and moving around too (according to his burn doctor) but has 2nd & maybe a little of 3rd burns on his face, hands & chest that are a major concern due to infection & scarring and which has required one operation already and a 2nd one in a few days.
Doc saids thousands of well wishes have poured in from all over the World..
and said Jay doesn't want this to garner sympathy but rather he's biting at the bit to get back to working on his cars, going out to car shows & filming his car videos.
What a special guy and I'm sure all Tigernetters are pulling for his speedy & successful recovery & healing!

He was forced out by the network. And Conan sucks anyway! There was Johnny and Jay, The rest suck! Letterman was great in the beginning, but then he became a bitter old liberal!

I TU’d you but it would’ve been a TD, except I don’t td anymore. I’ll just tell you ‘in person’ your full of #####….. and I wouldn’t even be doing that but I’ve been drinking bourbon and shooting pool the past four hours. If you can have your chitty opinion, well, it’s only even that I’ll have mine.
A speedy recovery to a great car guy who was also one of the better late night talk show hosts.

You should stop drinking or doing drugs.
Just ask comedians. Carson is the king! Always was always will be!
For years being on Carson made a comedian! The opportunity to be on Carson was a lifelong goal for comedians. No one ever said that about Ferguson or anyone else. Including Lettermen. Only Carson can be found on DVDs on Amazon. Because only Carson is good enough for people to want to watch again such as syndication.
Appearing on Carson was like being anointed by the pope!

That’s a tired old trope and if that’s all you got you might want to stop trying to be funny. And way to go with an insult because you’re triggered that someone would push back against your stupid opinion.
Second, it’s not an opinion! Go watch Joe Rogan go watch interviews with comedians. Leno, Seinfeld, all the big names. No one‘s talking about Craig Ferguson. No one‘s talking about Colbert or anybody else on late night. Occasionally people will mention Conan. But only after talking about Carson, and Leno, and maybe letterman.
This isn’t an opinion. This is a stone cold fact coming from people that know late night and the comedians themselves! They are the experts. Not you and me. They couldn’t care less about Craig Ferguson or anyone else. There will never be another Johnny Carson.
Late night is dead anyway. They killed it when they decided to get political. Greg Gutfeld on Fox News is beating all the other late night shows in the ratings. So let that sink in.

I love people that hate on Joe Rogan. Shows how ignorant they are. How allergic they are to being well-informed and listening to diverse people dive deep into important topics including some of the top experts in the world on any given subject. And thanks to Joe we now have Lex Fridman who is literally a genius and has lots of other geniuses on his podcast talking for 3 to 4 hours about some of the most important topics facing humanity today!
But you keep on going being ignorant! You do you!

10-4 Lowcountry. Carson then Leno then first 5 years of Letterman. Afterwards a wasteland of comedians. Jay Leno's Garage Youtube channel is my go-to for great automotive knowledge. We are the same age and his love of restoring older cars from the 40's to the late 60's makes my soul sing! He is also very kind to others who bring their vehicles for him to showcase.

Some people should stay writers the way some coordinators shouldn’t become head coaches.
I can appreciate some of what Conan does, but he’s not even in the same solar system as Letterman or Leno. It’s down right blasphemous to even mention his name in the same sentence as Johnny Carson!

I spent a few months at MUSC in their rehab unit. There were a few burn patients in the unit at the time. One was a mechanic that got trapped under a burning car and had third-degree burns over his entire body. I used to hear that guy screaming at night as they scrubbed his body to try and kill germs because once you have burns that bad You are extremely susceptible to infection because your skin is gone. Needless to say he died. Most people with severe third-degree burns over a significant portion of their body die. Mostly from infection. I would not wish it on my worst enemy! That’s why people jump out of skyscrapers that are on fire. There is nothing worse than being burned alive!

but so right. We had an employee severely burned on a work injury. I visited him many times at the Augusta Burn Center. It was truly awful to see his pain. Nothing worse than burn pain from what I understand.

chemical plant. Both were from the same incident. The first one to die passed away the next day. He was unburned on the outside, but had inhaled fire, and died from burned lungs. The second one did not have on a firesuit like the first one did, he had severe burns, and died two weeks later in the Augusta Burn Unit.
That situation was so traumatic that a plant EMT who was among the first on the scene resigned later on, he could never get the images out of his head.
Being burned to death is about the worst way I can think of to go. The fact that so many jumped out of the twin towers to their death on 9/11 rather than face that is just one more reason Osama Bin Laden can rot in Heyall for all eternity, far as I'm concerned.
