Too bad they lose 4 games this year and won't see the ACCCG. But, they do face FSU at Doak. We'll see how that O does in that game. They might surprise us, but I don't it.

They lost their QB - Williams. They have both of their top WRs coming back in Switzer and Hollins. Hood is a beast. They should be good on offense. Nowhere near as good as we will be - Watson alone pretty much assures that, not to mention we have a monster OL (not sure about their personnel there, but we should have a top 3 OL in the country), Gallman, unlimited dominant receivers, Leggett, etc. etc. etc.
Add Mike Williams back into the fold... it's not close. Can't fault him for saying it, not like he can say Clemson is going to have a better offense than us. Odd choice of words though - maybe he hasn't looked at our depth chart.

Actually Switzer is right.
Basically, the Heels are returning pretty much everybody except their very talented but extremely over-excitable QB, Marquise Williams. There's a reason Williams was an undrafted free agent...despite having 1st-round physical tools and posting massive production - albeit against lesser competition. In every game that seemingly mattered, though, Williams was the anti-Deshaun Watson, and he let the Heels down time and again in primetime.
The guy the Tarheels are counting on to lead them this year is Mitch Trubisky...who is seemingly everything Williams wasn't, and a guy a lot of UNC insiders were hoping would replace Williams - last year, while Williams was still eligible. Fedora stuck with the veteran, as coaches tend to, but the fact is, when he was in, Trubisky was better - and a lot more clutch - than Williams. He isn't quite as big or athletic but he still has enough wheels to make a first down with his feet when he needs to, and he seemingly has a lot more ice water in his veins than Williams ever did. Trubisky actually could be an upgrade, and maybe a significant one.
UNC's offense is going to be prolific, and probably more clutch on key 3rd downs this year. I think their defense will continue to improve. Chizik is a very good DC.
Long story short, UNC was 11-3 last year, and I think they're probably a better team this year. Which means strong odds we see them again in the ACC title game, unless VT, Miami, or Pitt just plain surprise.
