I know the US is divided right now but don't let politics influence how you view Russia.

For Christ's sake, think of Ronald Regan if you're conservative. How do you think he would view this situation?

I don't know how you'd ever side with Russia in this situation especially if you know anything about history.

when a relative handful of handpicked loudmouthed idiots in the right wing media have an absurd take on this issue, and a few more pick it up and run with it. The reality is, while some dumbaces on the right will blindly parrot this ridiculous narrative, the vast majority do not support Russia's invasion of Ukraine or any of the human rights violations that are ocurring as a result.

As for Tucker Carlson, I rarely listen to him; it's usually when I'm flipping channels and something he's ranting about catches my ear. To his credit, sometimes he totally nails it, and is spot on with his insight and analysis. Other times, he totally misses the mark, takes the wrong fork in the road, and just digs in deeper and deeper. He often comes across as a carnival barker, and I don't rely on him for any news or information. He has never accurately represented my views, and often is in opposition to them.

There's essentially no one siding with Russia...

The political sides are obviously:

A minority of people think we did all we could, this was inevitable.

A majority of people think we could have done more to prevent it. Some think more means political, diplomatic, or economic. Others think more means security agreements or weapons.

If you actually think people in the Untied States are cheering for Putin and Russia, you live in an echo chamber.

You said it Cdixon11, you are seeing "clips" that are snippets of the whole discussion and have been edited to make it look negative for FOX and conservatives. I watched a NBC news cast this morning and they were trying to spin that Trump supports Putin. NBC had 2 sentences from Trump essentially saying Putin was smart, then cut it off. Watch the "whole" conversation and Trump does not support Putin, nor does he condone the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The same can be said for Tucker Carlson and many others.

One of the sanctions that was implemented under Trump had been removed on that pipeline but since this started up Biden reimposed the same sanction that had already been in place. Honestly thought from the folks that I have talked with on message boards and in listening to the news that this was one thing both sides agreed on.

Not sure how the CNN’s or MSNBC’s are spinning it but it’s definitely anti conservative Im sure. Never got my news from Rachel Maddow but she hates anything conservative and the world in general in listening to her talk. But people will believe what they want. Lot of hate in the world and normally media driven but be assured if anyone is supporting Russia Im calling them fringe because Im pretty sure both parties are and have been anti Russia. That’s the reason that is the nation Clinton fabricated the story about Russia she new it would get more of a rise and it worked for a couple of years. The one’s out there praising Putin was Majorie Taylor Green and Paul Gosar at the White Nationalist Gathering. Those are the two that need to be muzzled. Their remarks sparked chants of Russia, Russia, Russia and Putin, Putin, Putin.

The only reason they are doing it is for their own political aspirations. Those like them are dangerous. At this time we need to be together, not fighting amongst each other. That is what Putin wants is for us to fight inside the USA and other free democratic countries.

I call out ANY Democrat or Republican who tries to still up ?? during this time. Most of those who do this have NEVER served their country in the military or First Responders in our country. They call themselves public servants but they are ONLY servants for themselves.

We NEED TO BE UNITED NOT DIVIDED. We need to protect Democracy wherever it is. The one’s who are suffering are the citizens of Ukraine. Putin DOES NOT CARE about his own Citizens, only PUTIN. He is only interested in getting Russia back to its original self in the pre 1994 USSR times.

He must be stopped now or we will be fighting a WORLD WAR when he tries to regain the Baltic States.

I see that as saying Putin sucks but Biden sucks worse more so than anyone actually admiring Putin.

Most of the ######## in this thread is ########. I'm a former Navy Special Warfare sniper and I'd give my left nut to go back and put a .338 Lapua through Putins face but the #### being said out there about Trump is well ####. I didn't really like him but he just doesn't know how to form sentences all that well. What he said and what are being said he said are two different things.

####### tired of the division and trying to sew division between trump supporters and supporters of the left. ####### quit it..

China is licking it chops and is waiting their chance to pounce on Taiwan. They pretty much own the USA has the have been allowed to get away with so much.

The Russian people do not want this, and Russian TV is not reporting
what is happening in Ukraine. I admire the people in Ukraine, praying for them plus

I have not heard any American, Republican or Democrat, support what Russia's Putin is doing.

I've only heard folks condemn the invasion.

Who is this you claim supports this war?

The Russian people need to take care of this. I believe the Russian people deserve better than this. I believe all people deserve better than this. Russian people you have an outlaw regime led by a maniacal murdering dictator. Russian people it is time to do what must be done. Russian soldiers your enemy is not in Ukraine. Your enemy is back in Moscow watching you and Ukrainians die on TV.

Re: Russia - TNet children who bashed Putin > Biden posters

There are so many children of the left on TNet.

To those children who bashed the old men in the T-shirts that read (in so many words) that Putin was better than Biden, this was a play on the old 1950's anti-communist slogan.

"Better Dead than Red (i.e., red communist)" ... I'll explain this to the TNet children.

No American in the original Cold Ware wanted to be dead; they were making a statement that being dead was better than being a communist.

Fast forward to 2022:

No one wants Putin to succeed; the old men's T-shirts are saying that Putin (metaphor for "dead") is better than Biden (metaphor for our current president [who, by his actions, has demonstrated that he is anti first amendment]).

NOTE: The old mens' T-shirts were stupid, but context matters. Stupid T-shirts do not mean that these old men are fans of Putin or what Putin does. But those T-shirts do mean that the old men despise Biden.
