Running the ball

So apparently you can win a game running the ball just like Oregon St just did...
Their QB had a QBR of 12.3 versus DJ's at 38.4, but they stopped letting their QB throw the ball after his 13th throw that was caught, but turned over. Their last pass came at 8:24 in the 3rd. Shortly after they were down 31 - 10. They stuck to running the ball and great defense and came back to win the game 34 - 31. We let DJ throw it 29 times. What could Shipley and Mafah have done with 16 more carries?
