I just didn’t realize how special he was until I read this quote from him:

Interesting. Two overtimes and a miraculous 91 yard drive in the closing seconds to beat a Clemson team crippled with injuries and this one, on the road, will be easier!
I bet this ends up on a bulletin board somewhere.

Well Joe Namath became famous for saying something like this back in 1969.

There is a risk when you say something like this. He will be the laughing stock if ND loses, but can you imagine how this will play out if they do beat us; he is already the winningest QB in ND history I believe.

I think he is not bragging; he actually believes that they will beat us. We better bring the same kind of confidence into the game.
