Roll Call: Who is taking Tuesday January 12, 2016 off work?
Jan 3, 2016, 1:13 PM

I'm going to enjoy Monday night January 11, win or lose.
I have a late day meeting to attend on Monday but after that, it's me decked out in all orange, my trusty lazy boy, a few beers/liquor, some tostitos and homemade dip and the TV.
I'm planning to still be partying at 2am, usually the time I wake for the day.
How about you?

If I'd been a better planner, I'd be flying back as well

I, too, will be coming back from Phoenix (Glendale). I will be dead tired for the meeting I will attend on Wednesday (it starts on Monday, but I am excused til Wednesday), but my wife and I will be in our seats early on Monday to watch our Tigers shock the world.

You wake up at 2am? What time do you go to bed, 4:30pm?

That's all I need. I've always been that way. Took after my dad, he has also never been one to sleep more than five or six hours.
I'm back up at 2 am every morning reading the newest weather models, etc. I've already been working several hours before most people get out of the bed. LOL

I'm not sure that's the healthiest thing. But whatever floats your boat.
3. Some people function perfectly on four hours of sleep. Legendary short sleepers — including Bill Clinton, Madonna, and Margaret Thatcher — don't necessarily do better on fewer Zs. "They're just not aware of how sleepy they are," says Thomas Roth, Ph.D., sleep researcher at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Too little sleep is bad for your health and your image: It can make you ineffective (it impairs performance, judgment, and the ability to pay attention), sick (it weakens your immune system), and overweight. In fact, women who slept five hours or less a night were a third more likely to gain 33 pounds or more over 16 years than women who slept seven hours, according to a Harvard Nurses' Health Study. Oddly, cutting too much sleep and getting less than six hours is associated with the same problems as sleeping too long: a higher risk of heart problems and death. And, of course, cheating on sleep hurts you behind the wheel: "Wakefulness for 18 hours makes you perform almost as though you're legally drunk," says Walsleben.

Well since I'm healthy and certainly not over weight, I'd say that I'm not in those averages
Some people just can't sleep. Even on the days I plan to sleep late, I don't. And some people can sleep the day away.

Neither of which are healthy as studies have shown...lol. It wasn't an average...it was a clinical trial.

Of course it isn't healthy but if a person can't sleep, they can't sleep.
I have laid in the bed trying to fall back to sleep, can't do it.
And I'm not doing the meds stuff. LOL

I we win,I probably will take it off. If we lose,I'll drag myself in and save a personal day for a trip to the dentist.
