Do you think it will be Thomas Austin? Or with how bad it's been, will Dabo go outside the program? No matter what, I'm just ready for Caldwell to retire.

We need to go outside the program for new ideas, energy and development. I love Cole Stoudt, Tajh Boyd, CJ Spiller and Austin, but we need new blood. Same ole’, same ole’ don’t get it in College Football.

You are correct they have been other places. Hell, CJ played for several different NFL teams. But it’s hard to argue that any of them have significant coaching experience elsewhere. 3 years isn’t significant.

unit that has an outside the program hire the defense is the most consistent one year in and year out even when we take a hit with players..see the year we played lsu in the title game..very well undermanned that year he still managed to put a respectable unit on the field

Whoever the new guy is, he better keep continuing to cross-train the heII out of the OL. We don't need any smartassed newbie telling us how to get a lineman to be a great guard, tackle, or center. He's got to be equally bad across all positions!
Well, until he hits the portal anyway.

Yeah Caldwell has to go. Also part of our issue(and has been for years) is that running backs are woefully imept at pass blocking until the end of their careers. On top of that our O line never opens good lanes against anyone at all. Caldwell has been stinking up the place for a long time.
