Did he ever take or schedule an official visit to Clemson? (just curious)

Play the field then he should have accepted Dabo's offer to not formally commit. Kid's younger than RN know the meaning of commit. If we have a spot for him later great, if not, Clemson should not hold the boat for this kid.

I agree, Clemson should not hold a spot for him. We need players who love Clemson and who wants to be here. he will not make or break Clemson. he is only a DE, its not like he is a QB, RB or WR who touches the ball. Yes a DE is important but there are alot of other very good DE out there that Clemson can get.
