Steve Wiltfong says it’s a matter of when and not if Mickens pick the Clemson tigers, do you guys think he commits at the spring game next weekend?

I'd say definitely sometime between spring game and cookout.***

Didn't he say he was committing in August or am I mixing him up with someone else? Earlier would be awesome.

That would be an excellent pick up. Good bloodline, Getting this type of talent out of Texas should pay dividends down the line. Recruiting doors for the Tigers are opening all across the United States. Who among us could have imagined just a few short years ago the current success of our football program?

The Gamecocks should thank our program for helping their recruiting because they are now getting talent that would have come to Clemson in the past. Looking at our offer list, those we consider "fall back" recruits would have been at the top of the list in years past. How happy I am to live long enough to see our football program attain elite status.

There's always a chance he could do a silent and commit publicly later. Having some of these guys spread it out a bit could be better long term then having them commit all at once. With the roll we seem to be on I'm not sure it matters but there are definitely times when coaches tell players when to announce for maximum effect and to keep momentum rolling. UGA got a pretty big boost out of having "number 1 player" Fields (lol) commit right before the season started.
