I remember Craig Loston was 5*, committed to us, dropped to 4*, switched to LSU and became 5* again lol.
That's back when the ratings were reallllyyy subjective and sketchy. Now that there are free recruiting services doing what rivals expects you to pay for, they've gotten better. But again, when they "re-evaluate" prospects, the big programs always wind up with 5* kids, and the non-brand name schools get 3* and 4* if they're lucky.

I'm not accusing anyone of being dirty, but Ole Miss certainly does a lot better on signing day than on game day most years. That's been the case since Coach O was there.
