Seems like a similar story to Unknown up in Charlotte.

One of the bigger, better breweries around here, and the owner up and sold it off. He said he was running five different businesses from it (beer, their ginger ale, food kitchen...) and he wasn't having as much fun and it was becoming too much of a distraction from living. So he sold off everything but the ginger ale.
Had to respect it.

They had some excellent beers, and they had some great bands play in their warehouse. The acoustics aren't great in there, but every show I saw at Unknown was still a blast. They also had a sweet rooftop area. I have no idea what's even in that building now. Hospitali-Tea Red Ale was by far one of my favorite summertime brews.

Unknown was great, and Brad was a character as well.

I was there with a buddy for their amateur BBQ contest, and Brad bought an ostrich to BBQ. The "Sauceman" heard about it and came out to help him. By the end of the day he was drunk AF carrying around a bigass ostrich leg like a club.

they closed? The taproom wasn't spectacular, and the beers were decent enough but I REALLY miss their Reaper Roast Amber beer. It was an amber ale that used Fort Mill-sourced coffee, chocolate, and reaper peppers. It had heat, and you really could only drink a couple in one sitting. Still, it was freaking delicious. I think they were the first York County brewery and I hated to see them shut down but I guess a one-hit-wonder brew wasn't sustainable in the long run.

Did not, but small shops are where the good beers are.

Sycamore is good. Heist is good. Catawba is good.
But I've had my best beers at Wooden Robot, Lenny Boy, and new favorite, Edge City.
Another side story (I feel like a PC version of FastChad today):
Back when we were hustling on the food truck, we became good friends with the owner of The Hunter's Wife truck. He was friends with the guy who invented the Reaper. He said the Reaper guy already had peppers that were hotter than the Reaper so in case anyone beat him out, he could reclaim the crown very quickly. The man is an evil genius.

They have a store in downtown Fort Mill with all kinds of hot pepper products. Worth a stop anytime you get this far south.

with the others. I told the lady they probably gave them that one since they were a local bottle shop selling their new beers, she said it was fine if I wanted to just buy it and drink it. I reached out to Unknown and they laughed it off saying it was SUPPOSED to be a gift to some local bottle shops.

I have no worries on this one. If anything, the Japanese will use kaizen principles to make Stone even better.
