RIP Maxie Burdette of Mauldin

Oct 7, 2016, 9:57 AM

I understand that a big tiger fan, Maxie Burdette, passed a few days ago. Young guy (38 or so) with a wife and two kids. God Speed Maxie!

Thoughts and prayers. Cancer is such a terrible thing.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

My wife and I helped raise that young man...he was a little

wild years ago (who wasn't at that age) but became a great husband, father and son (my adopted son kinda)...his TNet name was TillmanLedgend...he rarely came into chat anymore but read the board every day...what's so bad is he lost his dad to cancer in April...this family didn't deserve this and we're all trying to understand God's plan for this family...they really need all the prayers that we can give them

Never met him but I've only heard good things about him. Keeping him and his family in my thoughts and prayers. Always sad to lose a member of the Clemson Family.

Does anyone know what happened? This is the first I've heard of this. He closed my home loan years ago. He was a really good guy, and a huge Clemson fan. Very sad.

I hung out with him many times at Clemson. He was always the happiest guy in the room. And it was very infectious. He will be missed by so many.
