Resume - 11 years - you decide

11 years
4 wins - 10 losses in ACC Tourney - 28% 2-3 in true NCAA games. (Yes, there is another win, but I don’t believe winning a play-in game of 2 12 seeds should count the same as a regular NCAA tournament victory). You can add a win if you disagree. Then 3-3. 201 wins - 150 losses. (57%). 3 NCAA invites - 2 with his recruited players. 0 ACC tourney championships 0 ACC regular season championships First or second team All - ACC players - 4 No known recruiting violations or scandals Made NCAA this year. Had good regular season 2020-21 Deepest team Clemson has had in years. Lost against lower seed in ACC tourney. Lost against lower seed in NCAA. 3 decent recruits committed for next year.
Has CBB achieved goals/objectives to keep coaching Clemson? If yes, how many years does it take to achieve your expectations or make a change?
My expectations - not really well thought out - but reasonable I think. 50%+ going to NCAA Win in first round 60% Win in second round 30% Make elite 8 once every 10 years Win 50% in ACC tourney Make semi finals of ACC once every 4 years Make finals of ACC once every 6 years Finish in top 3 regular season of ACC once every 4 years

His overall winning percentage is still behind Barnes, Ellis, OP, and Foster. Sorry Judge, not just ACC winning %...

Kudos for producing some data, not just the usual sentiments.
But this validates what so many did feel before this season even came about. Time for a change. Unless the Clemson community is content to wallow in that purgatory between mediocrity and excellence.
Is there a reason to settle, besides he’s a “really nice guy”?

I am not a basketball guru but, the team does not look well coached. I got to see them in LJ this year and it was throw up three point attempts. There did not seem to be a game plan. Tommy West’s team rallied around him as he was getting fired. CBB is a good guy and his players will defend him. DRad needs to earn his money now and straighten out the basketball program. Our team and Rutgers were both being mocked online for the ugliness of the game. I vote to make a change. If he gives him another year then some changes need to be made with the assistant coaches.

You forgot - overall losing record in conference play. That is what people want. A loser.

Considering 2 of those invites came in the past 4 years I would say that's showing signs of progress compared to the first 7 years here.
Some folks are holding this season WAY too high imo when we were predicted as the 10th best ACC team in preseason.
This was NOT a normal year of sports. Covid protocols alone made this a year we should be flexible as fans regarding how a season goes.
To make the big dance when we could have just folded after the COVID pause collapse is incredible.
No I am not a fan of how the season ended but give me a break. Everyone wants change but if we are going off the past 4 years we are showing improvement.
Regarding your expectations, I agree that is something decent I could see us working our way up to (whether that is BB or another coach).
However, consistently making the big dance then progressively going up in standards is the only way we are going to get there. It's exactly how I don't understand how people on this board want to bellyache any time our football team struggles.
Clemson is LUCKY to have the success we are seeing in football. If a FG goes wide left or right, a comeback drive isn't successful, a few recruits choose a different school, or a coach gets fired before we break through the door, we could be looking at a program similar to the basketball program where every now and again we have success but there's a lot of frustration in between.
Now, a coach doesn't need 20 years to determine success but, I'm seeing an upward trend if we are looking at progression.
-2 big dance invites in 4 years = 50% -a sweet 16 run almost meets that elite 8 expectation -we've made it to the ACC semi finals in the past 4 years when we lost to Virginia in 2018
So we've met most of those expectations in the last 4 years. FWIW, I think this decade of Clemson bball will be better than the previous decade we witnessed. We have better facilities and the recruiting has gotten better too.
Of course, time will tell and I'm fully supportive if Clemson decides to move away from BB but if we are looking at what have you done lately, BB is meeting those expectations as frustrating as this year has been watching Clemson basketball.
