Renfrow and Adams collision

Any thoughts on who was to blame on collision on Raiders last play. Looked like Renfrow was running and out and Adams a fly when they collided. I think Carr was looking for Adams and might have had him except for the collision where they both fell down.

Think Adams got jammed by DB at line and threw his timing off. Should have been past Hunter when he made his cut if not for that

The corner covering Adam’s should get the credit for disrupting the timing of the play. His pressure caused Adams to be slower getting down the field and put him in Renfrow’s path on his out cut.
Sometimes the other team makes a better play.

and there is always a danger of the receivers colliding when you run that type of play. The corner covering Adams jammed him at the line which also disrupted the timing of the play. Good play by the defender. Not sure anyone is really to blame. It's just football. It was also a bad play call IMO. LV needed just three yards to extend the possession and keep the drive alive, but instead elected to threw the ball way down the field.

so this was a poor design or like they said it was a function of Davante not getting up the field fast enough b/c the DB bumped him at the line.

It was the playcaller's for calling a 30+ yd route on 4th and 3.

its completely unfathomable. But you're right, being greedy and trying to take the knockout punch when you don't need to yet is just dumb. You have Hunter Renfrow and you need 3 yards. You should lose with that playcall. Dumb playcall is right.

Been a Raiders fan for 20+ years.
It was supposed to be a Scissors play (Renfrow to the corner, Adams to the post) but the DB on Adams threw off the timing. We scored on a somewhat similar play last year vs the Ravens in OT when it was an obvious running down and distance. One main difference is that the play vs the Ravens was in shotgun, which gave Carr more time to get it off while rolling back. It was just a combination of a great play by the DB and an average at best call by McDaniels. You have to expect a man blitz in that situation and get in the right formation.
