The pre-camp depth chart release always makes me laugh.

I get it, it's a formality and it's something to talk about. But you can almost always count on:
-Returning starters still being starters -New players being third string, and only second string if there are extenuating circumstances -Position battles being listed as player A OR player B
No mysteries here, folks.

When it is released, I predict it will be:
Al-Amir Dawes Nick Honor David Collins Hunter Tyson P.J. Hall
Obviously subject to change as we go through preseason camp and get into the season. I suspect Brownell will shift the lineup regularly depending on matchups. We will likely see Chase Hunter, David Collins, Naz Bohannon, and Alex Hemenway start their fair share of games too.

start and play is just that, TALK. That's perfectly fine, it's normal, and it's what this board is for, but the fact is nobody on here knows, even if their bloviating would indicate otherwise. It will all work itself out once actual games are played, and at that point we can count on a few surprises and changes.

Yep. And when those kids see it hanging in the locker room it really motivates them to be better than the other guy. I love the player A or player B.
The precamp depth chart isnt for the fans as much as it is a motivational tool for the players

Having the highest paid assistant coaches in college football, the nicest facilities in college football, and our rabid football fan base help tremendously with that.

As hard as it was losing 49-28 to Ohio State and 42-25 to LSU the last two playoffs, at least we know that our players didn't underperform.

I’ll take underperforming two times in the Past few years

And winning 2 National Championships, playing in the playoffs annually and winning ACCC regularly over the last few years over poor performance for the last 10 plus years. But you can rehash the same arguments ad nauseum. If you’re trying to argue that our football team underperforms regularly then you really aren’t very bright.

Dabo’s leadership is directly related to all these factors. When he started they were not present.
