Marcquise Reed...

Mar 1, 2018, 1:55 PM

couple things...

first of all. He's one of my favorite tiger bball players of all time. I'm only 31 so i havent seen as many players as you guys have, but my 3 fav's are Cliff Hammonds, Greg Buckner, and now Reed.

Secondly, I dont think we give Reed enough credit for his defense. He plays hard all game and is most of the time guarding someone 2-4 inches taller than him.

Lastly, where do you think Reed ranks in all time tiger greats? He is one of the best 'playmakers' we've seen in tiger basketball

I've seen a lot of players through the years, but he's the first one who I consider the ultimate 'assassin' for the Tigers. He is the biggest difference-maker in the last five minutes of a close game that I've witnessed in a Clemson uniform. He simply does what it takes to get points on the board.

No love for Stitt in this regard?

He was a closer, for sure.
RIP

This, Stitt was much better at finishing around the rim, but

Reed has him on the jumpers.

points or big play after an opponent's scoring run. Big time stopper and mostly clutch late. Being the career leader in FT % at Clemson is strong. Thrilled he has another year.

Reminds me of.....

Boogie. Just clutch all around and never gets down on himself. Keeps playing and has that mental toughness that you just can't teach.
