Remember this next time you're overconfident.

Nov 28, 2015, 3:30 PM

I'll preach again "Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall". That's the good book.

I agree...

Nov 28, 2015, 3:40 PM

Every time that I read on Tigernet that we're going to win by 45, I know we're in trouble. I'm sure those posts will start about UNC in a day or so...

Re: I agree...

I absolutely agree. I posted about some posters writing checks our team might not be able to cash! This is a win, I am proud of the win but never again should anybody be obnoxiously overconfident!

Remember the next time you doubt...

Nov 28, 2015, 3:43 PM

Doubt instills fear. Fear loses! Brag all you want... You doubted, we won, and now you show up to say I told you so. How happy would you have been if Clemson lost? Probably like a PIG in mud. This is not a victory for fear. You scared? Say so!!!!!!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just wanted to say... I wish I could TD you more!

Nov 28, 2015, 3:55 PM

I have no problem with your initial post... It truly was solid! But to show up now to say I told you we should doubt.... Well that's just so freaking coot of you!!!!!!!!

Re: Just wanted to say... I wish I could TD you more!

Nov 28, 2015, 4:37 PM

There is a difference in doubting and hoping we lose...come on man, really? You can trash talk all you want if that makes you happy, I'll just take this win as humbly as I can. This team is my team and I love these guys but you cannot ignore our obvious defensive shortcomings, they are glaring and painful to watch. Thank God for Deshaun Watson, he single handily won the game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Taking this win as humbly as you can normally doesn't include,

Nov 28, 2015, 8:29 PM

showing up to brag about your humility!

If you think you and a handful of your doubting cohorts are the only ones that had reasons for hesitance, remember... We all are Clemson fans. We've all seen this before. SOME CHOSE TO BE ALL IN AND SOME CHOSE TO DOUBT. At the end of the day, kudos for showing up in the doubters thread to admit you doubted. It's all gravy from here on out so repeat after me...
GO TIGERS!!!!

Or the 4 sacks , or the drive stopping interception in the red zone , or the fact that you win as a team or you lose as a team .
Keep on doubting them .

HA HA I'm sorry you didn't have faith and worried

Nov 28, 2015, 4:00 PM

I never worried a bit. We went up two scores and stayed up two scores until there was 1 second left on the clock.

Bigtime and 12-0.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well, in fairness, one, you did call for a blowout all week

Nov 28, 2015, 8:35 PM

and two, unless I'm mistaken, we were actually only up by one score, a field goal, in the fourth quarter at one point.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Who was overconfident? Not me. I was scared of this game

Nov 28, 2015, 4:00 PM

Rivalry games are always tough.
A wounded animal is a dangerous animal.
A team with nothing to lose is a tough competitor.
Coach Shawn Elliot was coaching for his job.
This USuC team is so much better than their record.

All of these FACTS contributed to a difficult opponent and a close game. And the turnovers almost killed us.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Glad there is one person who understands.

Nov 28, 2015, 4:22 PM

It has nothing to do with doubt and everything to do with humility.

and us , as fans are worse about it than the coaches and 19 -20 yr. olds playing .

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I never thought we would lose, and we didn't.

Nov 28, 2015, 4:07 PM

How exactly do you have the fanhood high ground here???

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

well I suppose if tnet was playing the game you might

Nov 28, 2015, 4:40 PM

have a point,

otherwise I don't think you have a clue as how the team approached the game, I know Dabo for one, approached it with humility...

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Demon Deacon problems? There's an app for that too, and it ain't buggy like that yellowjacket repellant:

We had every right to be nervous before the game, and it

Nov 28, 2015, 8:37 PM

turned out to be warranted I might add.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hey guess what, everybody was a little nervous.

Nov 28, 2015, 8:57 PM

You ever walk into a gym when it is empty and shoot balls before a game? That feeling in your stomach, it's called butterflys! It's normal!

We all knew the risk involved, what the game meant to Tiger nation, and that anything could happen. Problem is, if you are on Tnet bragging about... Well we could've lost and I told you so.
Well, we all knew that all along. We just chose to believe in this team.

My problem is those showing up like they were the only ones that knew that a football game was a competition. We all know. I didn't talk a second of smack! Trash talk belongs to the players. But whining belongs on the coot board!
Go Tigers!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Fair enough. But I think some were just a little tired of

Nov 28, 2015, 9:04 PM

being mocked and insulted by saying they were nervous about the game leading up to it. As if you were a fool to think it might be a dog fight.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Troof spoken.

Nov 28, 2015, 9:10 PM

It's a lot easier for me to be confident on a message board! I guess I should respect those who choose to be "humblest".
